In honor of baby Tates recovery from his battle with C-diff and us being given the Dr.'s blessings to get back into cloth diapers I am proud to announce a huge celebration that will include some wonderful products that we have had the opportunity to use! Several of the amazing sponsors are also offering giveaways of products and gift certificates to their stores.
Before all the fluffy fun begins I am offering you the chance to get extra entries! There are a few ways to earn entries and each option you do will earn you 5 extra entries on each giveaway during the event! That is 15 extra entries into each giveaway!
- Leave a comment on this blog post telling me why you cloth diaper or why you want to cloth diaper if you haven't started yet. I cloth diaper because when Tates was little most disposable diapers gave him a rash and when I found out what was in disposables it made me want a healthy alternative for my little one!
- Post the event button on your blog or website and share the link with me in a comment on this post
- Share about the event by posting on your blog or if you don't have a blog you can email at least 2 friends about the event! (You must cc me on the email-ecobabymamadrama at gmail dot com) then leave a comment that you emailed me

ReplyDeleteI started cloth diapering to save money. Now I'm glad I do because I don't want chemicals next to my baby's body. Can't wait for the fluff event, they are my favorite!
I started cloth diapering my first because I was astounded by how much money it took to keep him in sposies! Now the diapers are being reused with my second and I am so happy we switched to cloth when we did!

I started to cloth diaper because I didn't like throwing away all those disposables. I felt guilty. Also, I didn't like buying them every few weeks....so expensive! I am so glad I did because it gave me a new hobby!

I will cloth diaper our children when they come because of the cost savings! We are on an extremely tight budget so every penny counts. I also like that I am able to do good things for my babies and the environment while still savings money!
ReplyDeleteWe started CDing because it was cheaper than buying disposables! Now *I* do it because of the cuteness factor and the health benefits! Dd is only in them at night but we are TTC so hopefully soon I will have one in CDs full time again!

I started cloth diapering to save money and since I started with my first child, I can reuse many of them for future children. Then I started reading about the chemicals in diapers (Dioxin)-and I'm happier we use mostly cloth.

We originally decided to cloth diaper because we knew we wouldn't be able to afford the monthly cost of disposables. However, after using disposables I got from Birth Right, we found out Bug got a bad chemical rash from disposables anyway, and we needed to use cloth.

I haven't started yet because my baby's not here quite yet, but I plan to cloth diaper because I don't like the nasty chemicals in disposables, I hate the idea of filling up landfills with poopy diapers, and I love the financial savings of cloth diapers! Plus, they are just so cute!

ReplyDeleteI chose to start cloth diapering my son to save money initially. (I hated having to run to the store every time we were down to the last diaper) Then I found out about the icky chemicals in disposables and realized that cloth diapers were easy to use and cute! I was sold! :) I am so glad I switched!

I started cloth diapering when a great aunt of mine gave me a bunch of old fashioned flats to try when my baby continued to get rashes from sposies. I loved them! I did a lot of research and since have built a better stash of more modern dipes. I love the green factor and the money saving as well!

I want to cloth diaper because I hate that all disposables are in the landfill and do not decompose quickly. Also, I want to keep as many chemicals off of my babies as possible.
ReplyDeletejesllee (at) live.com
I am starting because I don't want to expose the baby to lots of chemicals, because of the cost savings, and because of the environmental benefits.
ReplyDeleteJessica Sapalio

I want to cloth diaper because I don't like that disposables take 250-500 years to break down in the landfill. I try to be as eco friendly as possible. Another reason being that most of the major diaper brands out there are owned by companies that test on animals, which does not sit well with me.

I started cloth diapering to reduce my family's waste and save money. Now I'm addicted to cute fluff, so I probably haven't saved as much money as my husband would like, but it sure makes the endless diaper changes more fun!
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I just recently decided to cloth diaper our upcoming second child. After all the research I've done, and reading all the cloth diapering blogs, I'm very excited about it and very much sure that this is the best thing for our family.

I CD for the environmental, financial, and health benefits. There were so many pros for us that it ended up being a no-brainer!
ReplyDeleteI started cloth diapering to be more "green" and save money. Although I've found I haven't been saving too much money because I just want to keep buying cute diapers. It makes me feel better that I can use them for baby #2 though!

I cloth diaper to save money and not be so wasteful. Babies go through disposables soooo fast, it's nice to not have so much trash!
ReplyDeleteI had always been interested in cloth diapers, but was a little afraid that it would be overwhelming. When we began buying packs of disposables TWICE A WEEK (!!) I knew we had to make the switch for the environment and our wallets. We have loved it ever since!
ReplyDeleteWe started cloth diapering because it was something we have always agreed we would do - both of us were cloth diapered and it just seemed like the best choice for our LO.
ReplyDeleteI cloth diaper because it is so much healthier for my babies, the planet and easier on our budget!

I cloth diaper mostly because I don't feel comfortable with all the chemicals found in disposables to touch my baby's skin for such a long period of time (birth to potty training), because of the savings and because it looks a lot more comfortable.

I started cloth diapering cause we needed to save money. My husband came back from being deployed and was unemployed for about 4 months. I had our son at the tail end of the unemployment period. We watched our savings dwindle and I knew that I had to come up with something to slash pretty much all things across the board. Cloth diapers were awesome. I started out with 4 dz prefolds and 7 covers. I also had a bad experience with disposables while visiting family. My son blistered after being in disposables (Huggies) for about 36 hours. He had a reaction to the "safe" gel stuff even though I wiped him down and dried him off between changes. I love cloth.
ReplyDeleteandrealeighb at live dot com
We started cloth diapering to save money, but a few months into it (and after sharing everything I was learning about cloth versus disposable), my husband actually said he would cloth diaper even if it did cost more! So we're doing it for the health reasons, although it being cheaper definitely helps, especially with another on the way, so we'll have two in diapers for a few months. :crosses fingers for quick potty-training:

I cloth diaper because it's a healthier alternative. :)
ReplyDeleteI cloth diapered by daughter from about 7 months on because of horrendous diaper rashes and chemical burns from disposables. Who knows how many $100s worth of gas money to & from the doctor, copays, prescriptions, over the counter creams and powders, and trying different brands of disposables didn't fix the problem, but 1 week of cloth did. I researched what was in disposable diapers , and we did not use 1 single disposable diaper after that. She's potty trained, but with "baby brother" due in December, our goal is to NEVER use a disposable diaper to avoid those same issues.
ReplyDeleteI added your event button to my blog (right side in the Upcoming & current events section).

I cloth diaper because it is much more natural for my baby. It doesn't hurt too that it costs less and keeps a ton of garbage out of the landfills. Cloth is so much more customizable. It makes diapering fun!!

ReplyDeleteI cloth diaper because my daughter had HORRIBLE diaper rash when we used disposables full time. I tried cloth as an alternative and have never looked back!
ReplyDeleteI cloth diaper because my first child has very sensitive skin and always had rashes in disposables... so we tried a few cloth diapers, and used them on the weekends since daycare wouldn't do them during the week. When I found out we were expecting twins and decided to stay home with the kids, it was a no-brainer to save money and be gentler on their bodies and the environment by switching to cloth all the way!
ReplyDeleteI started cloth diapering to save money and because I thought it would be healthier. They haven't turned out to be as beneficial as I thought they would be, though.
ReplyDeleteI wanted to start cloth diapering becasue it is a safer option and is cheaper too!
ReplyDeleteI started cloth diapering because I had heard how much better it was for baby and the environment. I also couldn't get over how cute cloth diapers were
