Red Barn Nifty Nappy Review & Sponsor Spotlight #ABE3

I have had the pleasure of working with Jeni from Red Barn Cloth diapers before and am super excited to work with her again!  The Nifty Nappy Needlewoman learned to sew her Red barn Nifty Nappy Cloth Diapers from Vilate herself and offers the same fabulously popular diapers that so many people have come to know and love.

I have used the AI2 and the Heavy Doody and for A Blogtastic Extravaganza when I decided to do an On the Go Baby theme I immediately thought to myself one of Jeni’s diapers is a necessity for any mom on the go and she totally agreed so here we are!  Jeni sent me the squishiest turquoise ooga booga velour fitted diaper and a soft green woolie wrap to use as a cover.

The Nifty Nappy Fitted diapers that Jeni makes are one sized with an easy fold down rise option for a custom fit on your baby and offer snap closure (my favorite!) with crossover snaps to accommodate babies that have a smaller waist. Snaps are not hidden however with the snaps going through all the layers this does prevent them from pulling through making the snaps last longer.

This is a super absorbent diaper offering several thirsty layers and a stay dry layer up against baby, another favorite feature of mine.  When we are home and not on the go Tates wears his fitted without a cover, I am telling you this diaper is absorbent!  The diaper consists of:

BODY:
-Outer layer: cotton knit (several awesome prints and colors are available)
-Sandwich layer: Organic Hemp fleece (we love hemp here!)
-Inside layer: Microfleece (seriously soft and no piling, wicks moisture away from baby)

LAY IN INSERT: (fold in half for double coverage!)
-Organic Hemp Fleece
-Organic Bamboo Velour

These diapers have fabulous elastic, definitely can contain a mess but never leave a mark even on Tates thick thunder thighs.
Now the word WOOL can scare even the veteran of cloth diapering mamas however with these woolie wraps you can rest easy.  There is no need for measuring your baby, they are one sized just like the diapers Jeni makes.  Woolie wraps are handmade just like diapers and offer the same great features too.  Crossover snap closure for a perfect fit and gentle elastic for any size thighs.  The same fold down rise allows for a great fit on most babies 7-35 pounds.
Each woolie is made from 2 wool layers offering double the protection.  The soft inner layer is 100% organic wool interlock which is stretchy and the outer layer is made of 80%+ upcylcled hand picked wool.  Wool offers a breathable natural option verses a PUL cover and is very comfortable for baby.  As you can see pair a woolie with a fitted and the fit is perfect!
Have you ever used a fitted diaper before?  What is your favorite print Jeni offers?
